Santa Baby

Mallory mailed us this super cute Santa outfit for Tyler. It got here yesterday, just in time. It was a huge hit at the Patrick Christmas get together. Everyone really loved it, including us. He just looks so cute in it! Thanks Mal! Also, our nephew had Ty for the cousin draw, and he got him a sweet toy, which I've included a picture of as well.

Sitting

Tyler is getting pretty good at sitting lately. He can stay up on his own for about 20 seconds or so. I usually sit behind him, using my legs as a barrier for him to lean on if he needs to. He is so not into laying on the floor anymore, which sucks, but hopefully soon, he'll be able to sit all on his own. He also rolls around a bit, which is fun.

One more week!

Christmas is only one week away, and I don't feel in the "spirit" at all. I finished my shopping a few weeks ago, and set the tree up a couple of weeks ago. I have been listening to Christmas music, but nothing seems to make it feel like Christmas to me. It just doesn't seem like it's such a big deal for us this year, which is weird, because we are finally around for it. We're not in New York or on a cruise, so you'd think it would seem more like Christmas.

The weather has warmed up a bit, and it is only around -8 degrees the last couple of days. It has been a nice break from the freezing cold.

Here are some pictures of Tyler in his exersaucer. There is a toy shaped like a lollipop, that he will munch on for like 20 minutes at a time. Shyla let us use her exersaucer, and he has really liked it. There is a picture of him after tasting his first Icy Square, and just hanging outwith dad, mauling his face, which he loves to do to anyone holding him lately. As well, a shot of our poorly decorated Christmas tree. It seems to look so bare. I am thinking that for future years I will invest in some larger balls and some actual tinsel or ribbon or something. Right now I have a string of silver beads and stars, but it is not enough.

Jumpy Jump

Here's some pictures of Ty in his Tigger Jumper. We call it his jumpy jump. He hasn't quite yet figured out how to actually jump. He spends his time going around in circles. At least he enjoys being in it now. He hated it for quite a while.

Here Goes

I thought I'd join in on the whole blog thing. I don't have another way of sharing our photos and events with everyone, so I thought I'd try this out. I probably won't be sharing too often, since life is pretty mundane when you stay home all day, but we'll see what happens.

Yesterday was Trev's birthday, and we spent the day shopping at West Ed for Christmas presents. I am all done my shopping, and he is close. We ordered some Chinese food for dinner from the restaurant by the 7-11 in our neighborhood. It was some of the worst Chinese I've ever had. We bought all 6 Harry Potter movies on Blu-ray yesterday. I've never seen all of them, so it will be fun to catch up.
