I Will Be Cultured

Tonight I had the opportunity to take in a little culture with my friend Jacky. She was given tickets from a friend for the Citadel Theatre, so she asked if I would like to go see Beauty and the Beast with her. It was so awesome. I am so glad that she gave me this chance. It is my favorite Disney cartoon, and I have always wanted to see the play. It was the Broadway version, but done at the Citadel. It was really well done. We both enjoyed it. The Gaston character was really funny, and all of the singing was really good. If anyone gets the chance to see this play, they should definitely take it.

What is with this crazy weather?! I can't believe it is snowing. Well, I can believe it, since it seems to happen every couple of years, at least, but I don't want to believe it! I mean, it's May 29 for goodness sake. Where is the sun?

Here's a picture of Ty in Trevor's helmet. He loves to wear it, even though he can't really move in it. It is way too heavy for him to keep his head up

Walking Phenom

Mallory came for a quick visit on Monday as she passed through home to Welling. Tyler sure loves her. He was giggling and talking and walking really good for her! It's always nice to be able to visit with family. I feel like I haven't seen anyone in forever!

On Monday, we went for a BBQ at our friends, the Layton's. We were visiting in the backyard, when I looked at Ty and he had let go of the trampoline and was walking toward the house. He was walking everywhere for the rest of the night. He doesn't walk as much inside, but that is due to the limited space. He is getting pretty good at it.

Sun Day

Well, I can't believe this beautiful weather we are having. It has been great, and Tyler can't seem to get enough. We played outside all day yesterday and again today. He was so worn out that he went to bed at about 5:45 last night! It was awesome. Mind you, he woke up at 5:30, which was alright because Trevor was getting up to watch Formula 1 anyways. Today we had a get together with some of Trevor's family and Russell brought an Astro Jump with him. Tyler absolutely loved it. I've never seen him laugh so much and so loud. It was great!

Fun With Friends

The other night, it was so beautiful outside, and our neighbor Brett brought his son Milo over for a visit. We decided to take him and Ty for a ride in Ty's wagon, but Ty was more interested in pushing. He helped push it around the entire parking lot and loved every minute of it.

Work has been going really well so far. I am enjoying it quite a bit. It has been super busy this week because the weather is so nice. Last week was super slow, due to the snow. Trevor is starting to get busy with landscaping, so that is good. Tyler is starting to enjoy the Day home. He cries for a minute when I leave in the morning, but he is playing, eating and sleeping way better!

Walking

Tyler is getting pretty good at walking. He can take about 4-5 steps on his own without falling, unless this happens!

Update

Well, Tyler is doing better at Day Home. On Wednesday, he started crying if Joanne left the room, which is a good sign that he is getting used to her, I think! Then, on Friday, she was finally able to get him to eat lunch! I'm hoping that this next week will be even better because he'll be there everyday, instead of every other, which I think should help the transition move along. Keep your fingers crossed.

I am starting work tomorrow. I am looking forward to going back. Everyone at work keeps telling me how excited they are for me to be back as well, so hopefully I enjoy myself!

Trevor and I went to a little Cafe yesterday called Fife and Deckle. It was quite delicious.
Ginger had recommended
it for the pie, and it was worth it. We also had some yummy sandwiches. I really wanted strawberry or lemon meringue, because they seem so spring-y to me, but they were all sold out because we went at the end of the day. Next time I'll have to go early to get the good stuff!

I have to get the clutch on my car replaced, as well as the timing belt. I guess it is 7 years old now, so it's time for some repairs. It's been such a good car!
