Make-It Monday

3 Pepper Pasta

2 green peppers
1 red pepper
1 yellow pepper
4 cups pasta sauce
4 cups farfalle pasta (bows)
1 Tbsp oil

Cut the peppers into 1/4 inch strips and cook in oil for 5 minutes. Add sauce and simmer covered for 15 minutes. Cook pasta in the meantime. Mix together and serve.

I made this and it is delicious and very filling. We loved it.

Locked in the Bathroom

When you were younger, did you ever hide in the bathroom when you didn't want to be found? We used to all of the time when we were little. We'd hide in there when someone was chasing us or if we didn't want to be found. Well, last night, I told Tyler it was time to put on his pyjamas, so what did he do? He took the iPhone that he was watching Wall-E on, and went into the bathroom, shut the door, sat against the door and watched it in the dark. I though it was hilarious.

I'm Done

Tonight we gave Tyler a snack around 7:00, and then he was laying with Trevor on the couch. I came to take a picture of them and then he wanted to lay with me. I layed with him for a few minutes, then he sat up and said "I'm done". I put him on the floor and asked if he was done laying and wanted to play something, but he said No. I asked if he wanted to go to bed and he said yes, I'm done. It was so cute. I took him upstairs and he was asleep in less than five minutes. I guess he had a long day of playing.

Playing in the Park

The weather has been so nice out, so I took Tyler to the park the other day. He loves to play in the sand and go on the swings. He can also go down the slides all by himself now. He is getting so grown up. It kind of makes me sad, but happy at the same time because he is becoming more independent, which allows me to have more time to do things like write on this blog.

I threw this picture in for fun. This was when he was sick, and he fell asleep to Tron on the couch. It literally only took about 20 seconds for him to fall asleep after laying down.

Sumer is Upon Us

We've been pretty boring lately, so I haven't had much to blog about. I know we've all seen this kind of picture, but Tyler was so tired a couple Sunday's ago that he fell asleep halfway through lunch and I decided to snap a picture.

Tyler has moved on from Toy Story and Wall-E to a much more sophisticated movie - TRON: LEGACY. He watches it all of the time, though I took this picture last week and he has been watching a lot of Tangled this week. He actually went and got Sharky from his bedroom and placed him on the stair to watch Tron with him. I thought it was so funny and cute.

Trevor has started up work and is looking to have a pretty good season. He is going to school in the fall, so he's not trying to be super busy, just enough to make money to pay for school and what not. My work at Classic has picked up a lot in the last few days. It has been nice to actually have stuff to do all day. It sure makes the day go way faster.

Phone Upgrade

The other day, I upgraded my phone. I have been waiting almost a year for this day to come.

I went from this:

To this:

With this:

I really like the white and pink together. I didn't get a data plan, but can still use the internet on wi-fi right now. I'm going to wait and see how often I would like to have internet when not by wi-fi, and then decide if I want a data plan or not.

Make-It Monday

We had this for dinner last night, and I really like it. I have made it once before. This time, I used frozen broccoli because I didn't have fresh, and it was just as good. I cooked it in the microwave beforehand, and then just added it to the mix at the end.

Fresh Broccoli & Chicken Pasta Toss

2-1/2 cups whole wheat penne pasta, uncooked
3 cups fresh broccoli florets
1/4 cup Kraft Calorie-Wise Zesty Italian Dressing

3 cloves garlic, minced
2 cups tomato-basil pasta sauce
1 cup Kraft Part Skim Mozzarella Shredded Cheese

Directions:

COOK pasta in large saucepan as directed on package, adding broccoli to the boiling water the last 3 min.

MEANWHILE, heat dressing in large nonstick skillet on medium heat. Add chicken and garlic; cook 5 min. or until chicken is no longer pink, stirring occasionally. Stir in pasta sauce; cook 5 min. or until chicken is done, stirring occasionally.
