Halloween and Other Randomness

There are some girls in our complex that come to our door most nights of the week and ask if Tyler can come play. They are about 5-8 years old. He loves to go and run around with them. One day, the one on the left told me "He's just so cute I want to kill myself!". I wasn't sure what to say to that, but it was pretty funny.

We got Ty a Race Car Driver costume from Old Navy for Halloween. It fit him perfectly and he looked awesome. We didn't take him trick or treating. We went to Trevor's brothers Spooktacular out at Wizard Lake. He puts on a really good Spook Alley through the woods and hundreds of people come out to it. It was really good. Tyler had fun hanging out in the garage, where they had a dance and some treats. It was a fun night. Tonight we handed out candy, and Tyler loved giving chocolate bars to kids. He was so excited every time he heard a noise outside.

Tyler has learned how to walk up the stairs hanging on to the railing. He is totally fine going up, but not so hot at coming down. It especially makes me nervous when he tries to do so on the basement stairs because it has no walls against the railing.

Post for Mal

I was a little bored at work today, and came across some fantastic pictures on my hard drive. These are just a few goodies to help Mal remember the good times.

Quick Note

Well, a couple of weeks ago, Trevor's dream came true. He finally got a new computer. His last computer was 5 years old or so, and was starting to be a little slow because the hard drive was totally full. We stayed with a Mac, but went with a tower instead of the iMac. It is really nice, and works much faster than the old one! We also got a new camera that has an HD video camera-the Canon 7D. This was another reason for a new computer, since we couldn't even play the videos on our old one because it doesn't do HD.

Thanksgiving was good. We went over to Russell and Andrea's house for dinner on Sunday and had a good time with all of the family except for Strater's gang. I had to work Saturday, but we both had Monday off and got to spend the day together as a family. It was nice. We are pretty boring these days, so I don't have much to say, just wanted to do a quick update.

Family Pictures

We went to the Devonian Gardens with Russell and Andrea this weekend and took some family pictures in the Japanese Gardens. The weather was perfect and Russell managed to get some good shots of us. Here are a few for you to see.

Summer Wrap-up

Well, another summer has come and gone, and again it seems like it has flown by far too quickly. The weather was really crummy at the beginning of September, but it has warmed up a bit the last week or so and feels like summer again. I'm hoping it lasts a while.

Tyler loves "Big Hands" and "Big Head". He thinks it is so funny to walk around in our motorbike helmets and gloves. Every time he does, I immediately think of Lord Helmet from Spaceballs.

Here's a really good shot of Trevor on the race track. He went to the last track day a couple of weeks ago and is looking forward to having a longer season next year.

A nice lazy day of McDonald's and Mockingjay. I loved this series and Tyler loves his cheeseburger and fries.

Here's Ty having a great time on Grandpa's awesome kiddie quad. He wasn't actually driving it, but he loved when Trevor would push him around on it.

Family Reunion

Well, we had a great trip down to Welling last week. We were able to go home for almost a whole week. My sister Mallory got married to Cody Peacock, which was the reason for the visit.

My mom figured since we were all coming home, we could have a reunion for a couple of days as well. It was a great idea. We got to see my sister's family who we haven't seen for a year and a half, so that was awesome. It was a really fun trip.

We went to the Birds of Prey centre in Coaldale. It was actually pretty interesting and the kids seemed to really enjoy it. We also rented the Stake Campground for the afternoon, where they have a water slide on the hill and a huge camp kitchen. It was really nice.

We spent a whole day up in Waterton. I haven't been since High School, and it had been even longer for Trevor. It was a good day of easy hikes for the kids and of course ice cream and a stroll around town.

We had a really great few days. We were going to come home Wednesday morning, but decided to stay all day and drive in the evening at Tyler's bedtime. That was the best decision ever. He slept the whole way home.

Here's some pictures of our great weekend in Welling.

Tyler loves Bubbles! Thanks Grandma and Grandpa.

Tyler was not such a big fan of the waterslide, and continued to cry for the remainder of that activity.

Tyler loved feeding the ducks with everyone and chasing them around.

Spencer was the only kid brave enough to hold the ducks like the adults.

This is Scott and Mandy's boy Cason. He is so happy and so cuddly!

Here's the happy couple at the dance.

Here's Tiff and Chad's baby Morgan! He is such a cute little guy
.
Thank you to everyone for making our visit so much fun!! Love you all.

Summer Finally Arrived

Well, this is the longest I've gone without doing a post so far. The weather has finally been nice, until today, so we have been busy doing more stuff. The mosquitos are ridiculous this year, which sucks, but what do you do?

Trevor's been having fun at the race track on his bike, and is starting to be pretty quick. He is doing some adjustments on the bike today and tomorrow, in hopes that it runs even better for him this Saturday when he goes out. Tyler and I went and watched him again the other day, and it was pretty fun. We met a couple who are actually from Welland, Ontario, where Steve is serving. They are living her now for work, but still own a place there that they rent out. They were really nice.

We went to Capital Ex to see Sloan perform. They weren't very good, which was disappointing. They have some good songs, but they just seemed to be off that night or something. We decided to walk around and check out the Carnies and have some treats. It was pretty fun.

I decided that it was time to go short with my hair again. Tyler thought that it was fun to grab a handful on each side and pull on it as hard as he could whenever I would hold him. Now, he snuggles up and plays with the shorter hair in the back while he falls asleep. It is so nice.

We went to the park the other day with some of Trevor's family. Tyler had a great time.

About a month ago, I went to the Valley Zoo for mine and Tyler's first time. He wasn't too interested in many of the animals, but he seemed to really like the seals and the lemurs. We got to see Lucy the elephant right up close. They were taking her for a walk, so that was pretty cool. Tyler fell asleep in the wagon on the way back to the car at the end of the day, which was also pretty entertaining.
